| Mysterious, reserved and quite tall at 6'2" (7'1" with the ears included), Fran is the only non-Hume of the cast of Final Fantasy XII. She is a Viera, a race that is exclusive to the land of Ivalice. Questioning the law of her race, the Green Word, Fran left the Viera village, Eruyt Village, to see the rest of Ivalice. She is the middle child of two other sisters - Mjrn is the youngest and Jote is the eldest. Fran's partner in crime is Balthier, a sky pirate that travels with her on his airship, The Strahl. It is unknown how the two met, or when, as she left Eruyt Village 50 years prior to the events within the game. They keep their relationship as professional as they can, though at times it seems like there is something more than that between the two. She is talented with ranged weapons, particularly a bow and arrow, and has a deeper connection to the Wood and nature than most other beings. Her ability to speak with the Wood is fading though, since her betrayal to the village by leaving it. Despite this, she still has a deep respect for nature and all of its creatures. |
